Lake Arrowhead | National Forest

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is located within the boundaries of the San Bernardino National Forest. The forest is home to seven different ecosystems and has more rare and endangered species than any other national forest. The national forest is also one of the most heavily recreated forests in America.

The Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa and the San Bernardino National Forest Association (SBNFA), have developed a unique partnership to achieve two mutual goals, to enhance the experience of the resort's visitors and to support the important work of the National Forest Association in caring for the national forest. This partnership supports the Forest Association's work with a voluntary $3 per room, per night conservation assessment. One hundred percent of this voluntary conservation fee is paid to the National Forest Association and is used to enhance the Forest, improve walking trails and to provide customized conservation education programs 

San Bernardino National Forest Association will lead two programs at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa for guests. These programs are designed to enhance the visitor experience with outdoor adventures.

The programs are as follows

A Fireside Chat on the Resort's Private Beach Friday & Saturdays at Sunset (Starts in June and runs through September) Join other guests watching the sunset from the resort's private beach, then get cozy beside a roaring fire. Learn about the history of Lake Arrowhead and the colorful characters of the San Bernardino Mountains while the starry night surrounds you and takes you back in time.

Explore Scenic Lake Arrowhead Sunday mornings. A member of SBNFA will meet guests in the resort's lobby around 9:00 am on Sunday mornings, then begin the walking tour of Lake Arrowhead's shoreline at 10am, returning at approximately 11:30am. On this hike you will learn about the local plants & wildlife. Remember to wear walking shoes and enjoy the lovely mornings overlooking the sparkling lake.

Check with the front desk to be sure the walk will be taking place. You will thoroughly enjoy the lovely mornings; breathing fresh, cool air and overlooking the spectacular sparkling lake.

Guided Nature Hike - Sundays 9:00am in the Lobby An educational 45 minute hike around the lake with a Tour Guide. On this hike you will learn about the local plants & wildlife that live here.
