Our Guide for Your Visit to Lake Arrowhead

Surrounded by the majestic landscape of the San Bernardino National Forest, Lake Arrowhead is like no other place in Southern California. Its pine-draped mountains, snowy peaks and four-season climate offer a splendid contrast to the sunny beaches of Orange County, LA’s urban frenzy and the desert of Palm Springs. Commonly known as “The Alps of Southern California," this mountain resort offers limitless recreational activities such as hiking, backpacking, bicycling, water and snow skiing, fishing, and more. Yet despite all the activity, Lake Arrowhead’s peacefulness and tranquility are what have brought generations of visitors back again and again.

Lake Arrowhead

The jewel of our area, Lake Arrowhead and its beach are accessible to local residents only for private boating, waterskiing and jet skiing. However, as a guest of Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa, you will be able to enjoy access to the lake via our very own private boat or the Lake Arrowhead Queen, which is operated by Lake Arrowhead Village. Step aboard, sit back and experience the area from an exhilarating perspective, gliding through crystal clear waters as the evergreen-draped shoreline slips slowly past.

Enjoy the views from our private boat, which launches again in late May. Ask us about the current schedule for daily sunset cruises, fishing charters and other private charters.

Lake Arrowhead Village

You’ll shop for sure in Lake Arrowhead Village – at everything from eclectic boutiques and art galleries, to factory outlets and a doggie bakery. But don’t be surprised if you find yourself stopping to feed the ducks, ride the bumper cars in Lollipop Park, take in a free concert or simply drop down on a bench to enjoy the lake views. Come at the right time  and you might find a vintage car or boat show, a farmer’s market or the best free Oktoberfest in Southern California. When hunger sets in, grab a table at a waterfront restaurant to enjoy great food and watch the boats drift serenely past.
